Turkey to open Manchester consulate

The Turkish Consulate plans to occupy the 4,000 sq ft space at Oxford Court, pending approval for a change of building use. Turkey's decision to establish a consulate in Manchester follows Brexit. Previously, the Spanish and Italian consulates leased space at The Chancery.

The freehold of Oxford Court is owned by Osborne House, with the leasehold owned by Carnarvon Street Properties. Osborne House acquired multiple properties within Oxford Court in 2017.

Avison Young and Canning O'Neill are managing Oxford Court's rentals. The property has been vacant since 2018, with a planning application highlighting a lack of interest in the past three years.
